Hi!
My main reason for starting this blog was so that my family and friends in South Africa and the UK could see what we get up to on a daily basis. We moved to Australia the end of September this year and are slowly but surely getting settled. We still aren't completely unpacked and don't think we will do anymore until we are out of our current rental property and in our own home.
I was born and brought up in South Africa where my family still live. After a stint in Paris and then a move down to Cape Town from Johannesburg, I packed up my 3 year old daughter and moved to the UK to an old school friends place. Eight years later we are married and have a 4-year old son.
I have been a stay-at-home mom since I was pregnant with Mstr T after having been in the accounting field. I've always enjoyed doing crafts and been interested in Interior design although I put my hand straight up and admit I'm not very good. I have gotten a lot of inspiration and ideas from the blogs I follow and am trying to adapt them to my new life. Fortunately for me, I get to start ALL over with everything. So our place is currently sparsely furnished, but I'm already on the lookout to do transformations to make our house feel more like a home and these will be some of the blogs postings.
We spoke about moving to Australia on a number of occasions but only after seeing the second series of "Wanted Down Under" did we decide to start doing something about it. Now just less than 2 years later we are here. It's very similar to how Mr C and I grew up, with the wide open spaces and hot weather and it's exactly what we want our children to have.
So I hope that you will continue to visit and see just how we are settling in and learning how to do things the Aussie way!
