Hi!
I was hoping to take some more pictures of the inside of the house to show you but the last couple of days have been a bit dull so thought I'd show you what I have recently picked up while out and about instead. The rest of the week is bright sunshine again so here's hoping (she says with crossed fingers).
It's not a lot that I have but I'm relatively pleased at what I've picked up. When we went into the village on Christmas eve to order the Aussie Pavlova for Christmas desert I was pleasantly surprised to see the village Op Shop was open. A groan from the kids but I'm in charge so hauled their butts in there pretty quick!
This is what I spotted and held onto quite tightly. It's a gorgeous white double bed quilted quilt cover. Miss M has a King Single bed so thought this would be ideal for her room. I've always used a size bigger doona (duvet/quilt) than the bed size. It's not on yet as I would like to do her room all in one. But the best part? It was only $5!! And it's in PERFECT condition. No marks, no pulls, nothing! It's almost as though it was never used. Now tell me that isn't a bargain?
This bottle as you can see I've already started using for my washing up liquid. This was new and still had the original store bar code label on the bottle, but I bet the original price wasn't $1.50! Another bargain at $1.50 as was the little bottle with the silver lid. Not sure what I'm going to use for this yet, but something will come in mind sometime.
This vase is a stunner. It's really thick glass and quite heavy but that was a tad more expensive at $6.99 Still a bargain in my eyes and it doesn't look like it's had much use either. I'm thinking full of colourful sweets? Course I won't be happy until they're all gone and then I'll just have to refill it all over again ;-)
And lastly I picked up this candle stick. It is scratched in places so will get a new coat of spray paint at some time. As soon as I decide on a colour. Silver maybe? This was priced at $3.99 but because it was "Yellow Label Day" it meant I got 50% off so only paid $2 in the end.
Right, I think I'm going to stop buying little things now as much as I don't want to because I have promised Miss M that I will start getting her room sorted so need to concentrate on finding those essential pieces.

Robyn x
